a minority in the house of 232
sometimes i feel as though i am just completely insane because there is no other reason why i should feel so strongly about something that everyone else seems to feel so differently about.
today's matter of debate: putting a door into the wall to connect the living room and sun porch. that is IF the land lord will pay for a new door but we'd be doing the manual labor.
i feel: that we're just renting the house so we shouldn't be doing any kinds of construction where cutting through wall is needed. it just seems like an unnecessary ordeal to make something a little more convenient- even though things aren't really unconvenient now- if that makes any sense. plus the chance of the land lord suddenly deciding to pay for a door is extremely unlikely since he hasn't even reimbursed me for the $8 i spent on painting the kitchen.
everyone else: that laura's dad is willing to do the work and if karey valentine pays then why not?
my rebuttle: BECAUSE IT'S A WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY FOR A HOUSE THAT WE'RE GOING TO MOVE OUT OF IN A YEAR AND THAT WE'VE ALREADY PUT MORE MONEY AND TIME INTO THAN IS AT ALL FAIR (ie: painting the entire inside of the house, cleaning it once we got here, and me still not having a window in my room).
but whatever- maybe i just need to stop giving my opinions or start seeing things from other people's points of view.
