the zoo
yesterday i went to the zoo with sean, hanna, and kurt. IT WAS TONS OF FUN!!!
ok ok- so it was waaay hot and sticky and i definately sweated half of myself away while suffering through the pms cramps.
but the gorillas more than made up for it with their swinging and eating and playing. i totally need to invest in them as pets/companions.
for some reason though this trip to the zoo made me oddly aware of how small the cages are, and how lonely the animals must be- especially the ones that were all alone in their cages. i mean, how is a cheetah supposed to show off its run at 70 mph when its area isn't even a mile long?? and so many of the animals didn't have any water around them and i just kept wondering what they do if they're thirsty all day.
i'm sure that every animal there is well taken care of- but still...
ok enough of this sadness- i really DID have fun and can't wait to go agian on a cooler day.
